Wednesday 9th May from 2.30 - 4.30pm.
Video Presentation -Summer Conference in Durham with British Undergraduate Philosophy Society (BUPS)
Seminar Room 1 at the Philosophy Dept, 7 Abercromby Sq. on Wednesday 9th May from 2.30 - 4.30pm.
Rob will be showing a video documentary/diary of the various experiences that people from PIPs and various Universities across the country had at the BUPS Summer Conference, which took place in September 2006.
The video shows a range of views concerned with the expectations that people have when they go to conferences and whether they are met or not, and thus what sort of things can frustrate or augment the experience. It also looks at the background explanations that people give for their interest in philosophy.
After the film there will be time for questions and discussion to be taken up before closing with some reflections on what has been learned as a result of going to the conference and making the short film.
We hope plenty of people can make it in spite of the short notice about the event, there have been a number of unfortunate delays, which have worked against providing sufficient notice, sorry about that! All the same for those who cannot make it - do not fear, since Rob intends to provide a second viewing sometime in September 2007.
This is a fantastic workshop all materials and a free lunch included in the price.
Only £35 per session. (morning or afternoon). Or bring a friend for £30 each.
Morning and afternoon sessions available everyday.
Meet new friends, and learn a fantastic new skill.
Create your own piece of spectacular jewellery, you can practice with stained glass, metal wire, copper tape, beads and marbles, learn the basics of tiffany glass making....and you will be able to take your creations home!
Telephone 0151 298 2525 for further details or to book a place.
