Head to FACT for a screening of Andrei Tarkovsky’s rarely seen film The Mirror. The film was chosen by FACT’s current artist, David Rokeby.

The Mirror, or Zerkalo as it was known in Russia, tells the story of a man in his forties who is going to die. He remembers his childhood but the narrative is interrupted with newsreel footage and contemporary scenes that look at the narrator's relationship with his mother, ex-wife and son. The film is regarded as a masterpiece and pivotal not only in the career of Tarkovsky but also that of modern cinema.

If you want to join a new mailing list, and hear first about upcoming screenings by SEEN, FACT’s adventurous and experimental film programme, email mailings@fact.co.uk. Include SEEN in the subject heading.
