3 June, St.Helens Open Day @ The North West Museum of Road Transport
Visitors will delight in a fun day out for all at the fabulous North West Museum of Road Transport! You can view a selection of vintage and classic vehicles at the Rally Site (St.Helens Together Car Park) and at the museum. A FREE shuttle service will operate between the Museum and the Rally Site. A regular FREE classic bus service will also operate throughout the day.
A range of stalls will be available throughout the day selling a range of unusual merchandise.
The day will commence at 10am and finish at 5pm
Visiting vehicles who would like to take part can do so FREE of charge by sending an SAE marked, 'St.Helens Open Day' to the museum, contact Phil Cook on 07817 053101 for more information.
Entrance cost to the Museum is: Adult standard tickets cost £3.50, children £2.00 and Family Ticket costs £10.00.
Following its extensive and comprehensive refurbishment the North West Museum of Road Transport has re-open its doors to the public.
The Museum, which has been closed to the public since 1994, houses a unique and extensive collection of historic public road vehicles from the North West region. The Museums collection represents over 10% of the national stock of preserved buses and coaches. The collection is made up of 68 vehicles, largely buses, and a wealth of information and the associated materials relating to each exhibit.
