Toxteth Youth Drama Group

Toxteth based Perform L8 Youth Drama Group are performing their adaptation of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" at the Kumba Imani Centre, 4 Princes Road, Liverpool 8, on Monday 7th May.

Local Liverpool Drama Group Scoop Award at Leverhulme
Drama Festival

Dingle Community Theatre have won the coveted Adjudicator's Cup for in the Open Category of the Leverhulme Drama festival held every year at The Gladstone Theatre, Port Sulight.

The play, "The Diaries of Anne and Frank" by writer Alan Bower, won praise from the competition adjudicator, Richard Woodward. The production also gained four nominations for acting.

The play told the touching story of two evacuee children from Liverpool and their stay in the home of a grieving Welsh couple.

The play was up against the cream of Amateur dramatics from all across the Wirral and Merseyside.

Dingle Community Theatre's youth group, Perform L8, also drew praise from the Adjudicator for the originality of their adaptation of the Tempest.

This will be performed again at the Kumba Imani Millenium Centre in Liverpool on Monday 7th May
