Help save Otterspool Promenade from privatisation - meet 12:30 at Town Hall 21 May

Please join the demonstration for 30 minutes of your time to help save this tree lined open public space. Your presence and support will also help with TV coverage.

If the Garden Festival site development goes ahead then this tranquil promenade land will be lost.

Liverpool Town Hall is near Moorfields rail station and is at top of Castle Street, between Water St and Dale St.

The event is organised by the Save the Garden Festival Campaign who are objecting to plans for a row of tower-blocks to built on a chemical land fill site and overshadow the prom.

Liverpool City Council will reverse their decision and go ahead with the privatisation of the land along the Promenade for this 15 year development. The Prom land is needed as the land conditions on the Festival site is not suitable for heavy vehicles.

Objections to the development will be made at the Planning Committee meeting held on Monday afternoon.
