LOCAL HISTORY WORKSHOPS - June/July
I am writing to let you know that I will be organising some local history workshops in Newsham Park, between mid June and mid July (exact dates are to be set but it is unlikely to be evening classes).
It will be interesting for anyone interested in the local history in Liverpool, especially into parks as we will focus on the case of Newsham Park where the sessions will be happening (Learning Centre).
The workshops aim to produce a small display on the history of the park for Heritage Open Days in september 07 which is also the 140th anniversary of Newsham Park. For that, we will discover the world of archives and history with a live session at the Liverpool Record Office.
Other sessions will propose small talks from the local historian to staff from the museums. It will also be a'hands on' activity with the material creation of the display.
Maximum number: 30
Contact: Clara Paillard - c.paillard@liverpool.ac.uk
or Newsham Drive Adult Learning Centre
83 Newsham Drive, L6 7UH
Please pass the info to who may be interested or email me their details. I will contact them with more details when available. Thanks
